Rev Rob Cotton

Current Minister

Rob began work as a minister in 1991 and has served in a number of contexts, including Preston, Arnold in Nottingham and Bible Society where he was their Senior Campaign Manager. He came to us in 2020 from Knutsford in Cheshire and as well as Sandal, Rob also has pastoral charge of Methodist churches at Crigglestone, Walton and Newmillerdam where he is about to launch ‘Lakeside Creative Arts Centre’. 

In his book ‘Hope in the Main Street’ Rob demonstrates how churches can engage with the community around, building relationships that enable social action, presenting the teachings of the Bible in ways that contemporary audiences can relate to and presenting Christianity as genuine good news.

Sarah Amos

Caretaker

Sarah is our caretaker here at SMC, she has been a dedicated part of our team since 2005. She checks in on our church building regularly and makes sure it is constantly looking clean and tidy. Although Sarah often works behind the scenes and is not seen by many, she is a key member of our church family as we wouldn’t be able to hold all the groups we do without her.
